Moldova will benefit from a new financial support coming from the European Union. The EU Commission announced that Moldova will receive 94 million Euro to reform “the administration of justice enhancing local and regional development, improving the system of vocational education and training, as well as preparing ground for the new bilateral agreements with the EU.”<\/p>\n

The European Union wants to form a professional, independent and transparent justice system in Moldova which would be able to strengthen the rule of law and the protection of human rights.<\/p>\n

Another priority of the European Union is to reduce the social and economic differences among regions in the country. In the education sector, the EU expects further strengthening of the training system and the vocational education in a process of adapting to the current labor needs.<\/p>\n

“Moldova is already an active member of the Eastern Partnership and the announcement of this new support confirms the EU’s commitment to further supporting the country’s reform process. The EU encourages the Moldovan authorities to continue with reforms and to maintain the ambitious goal of bringing the country closer to the European Union,” the European Commission announced in a press release.<\/p>\n

The financial assistance comes via the European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument.
