Some 79,396 hl of Moldovan wine was exported to EU countries in January-June 2012, Moldpres news agency informs. The Licensing Chamber of Moldova issued 562 authorizations for wine export during this time period.<\/p>\n

“As much as 20 per cent of the wheat quota or 10,020 tons was used on this period. As many as five authorizations were issued for wheat export to the EU, with most exports being shipped to Romania. The barley quota was used at a level of 15.6 per cent or 7,000 tons,” Moldpres reported.<\/p>\n

The same authority issued 11 authorizations for sugar exports. Moldova used 18.5% out of 34,000 tons, sending 787 tones on the European market.<\/p>\n

Moldova enjoys an Autonomous Trade Preferences agreement with the European Union. This allows the Moldovan producers to export their goods to EU countries without paying any customs fees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
