Over 263.5 million Euros from the budget of Moldova are lost every year due to illegal labor, Moldovan Premier Vlad Filat said.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister stated that combating illegal labor is a common priority goal for them, Infotag news agency reports. According to Mr. Filat, the condition in the country is difficult, and it is proved by the living standards of the people.<\/p>\n

"Initiatives of trade unions are reasonable; however, they require large resources that are always not enough", Premier Vlad Filat said.<\/p>\n

The official emphasized the lack of trade union institutions within private companies that are also an important part of the national economy.<\/p>\n

"If we aspire to the European Union, one needs to create normal living conditions for the citizens. We want to be heard. One may endlessly fight against the government, but what is the point. We must sit down at the negotiating table and achieve a consensus. We must launch a tough struggle against the inefficient and shadow economy. Also, it is necessary to insist upon the professional development of the staff. And the labor safety is also an important problem, of course", Oleg Budza, Chair of Trade Unions Confederation of Moldova said.
