Moldova will enter a new stage of privatization, Moldpres news agency reports. The country wants to sell blocks of shares in some agricultural, pharmaceutical and energy companies, said the Minister of Economics Valeriu Lazar at the international investment forum "Moldova-Central European Free Trade Agreement-EU (CEFTA)".<\/p>\n

The joint conference was designed to strengthen the trade of goods and services, and stimulate investments for Moldova and the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n

According to Moldpres, CEFTA Secretariat’s director Renata Vitez praised the competition for sales markets and investments seen among the parties of the agreement.<\/p>\n

"Competition makes our muscles stronger," Ms. Vitez said, claiming that the CEFTA members should cancel veterinary restrictions in their trade relations.<\/p>\n

CEFTA is a trade agreement between non-EU countries in Southeast Europe, which serves as preparation for fully-fledged EU membership.
