Moldovans will be able to fly low-cost to 50 European destinations. A new partnership signed today between Moldova’s national airline Air Moldova and Romania’s low-cost Blue Air will establish easy connections via Bucharest to many European destinations.<\/p>\n

Most of the flights will be operated by Blue Air from Bucharest or Bacau (a northern city in Romania). The passengers willing to travel from Chisinau to Madrid, for example, will travel with Air Moldova from Chisinau to Bucharest where a layover will be made. The next flight will be operated by Blue Air from Bucharest to Madrid or any other destinations. According to the Minister of Transportation Anatol Salaru, a fare for Chisinau-Madrid would cost 100 Euro with all taxes included. A flight on the same route costs currently 197 Euro one-way.<\/p>\n

The Minister said that by June 15 all the fares and destinations will be made public, so the passengers will be able to buy tickets after that day.<\/p>\n

Another important project is the launching of three low-cost destinations from Chisinau to Italy.<\/p>\n

“I think that within 2-3 weeks we will be able to operate these flights to three most important cities for Moldovans from Italy,” Mr. Salaru said.
