The European Commission could increase the financial aid for Moldova to bolster the reforms in the energy system. Over 94 million Euro have been earmarked for 2011 and more than 100 million Euro for 2012.<\/p>\n

Valeriu Lazar, Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova said that the energetic sector and the economic development of the rural zones are among the priorities of the Republic of Moldova. He welcomed the possibility to extend the aid program for these realms and receive additional funding for development.<\/p>\n

During his visit at the European Commission, Mr. Lazar underlined the support in the mentality change process advocating for the establishment of the development conditions within the rural zone and strengthening the infrastructure support for IMMs.<\/p>\n

“It is important an economic rural diversification including the development of non-agricultural affairs in our villages,” the statesman said.
