Moldova’s debt increased. The state debt summed 19,450.1 billion lei at the end of March. It hiked by 252.5 million lei compare to the first quarter of 2012, Moldova’s state-run news agency Moldpres reports.<\/p>\n

“On the same date, the state foreign debt stood at 13,549.7 billion lei, (1.147 billion dollars), up by 165.1 million lei. As much as 220.1 million lei was used to pay the state foreign debt,” according to the agency, quoting Governmental sources.<\/p>\n

The internal state debt stood at 5,929.3 billion lei at the end of March 2012, of which state securities issued on the primary market accounted for 56.8 per cent, converted state securities accounted for 37.3 per cent, and state securities issued to ensure the financial stability represented 5.9 per cent.<\/p>\n
