The Korean company Hyundai Heavy Industries is willing to invest on the Moldovan market. The fourth producer of industrial equipment in the world is interested in investing in areas like automotive industry and electric energy generation. The company is also interested in exporting farming products and wines to Asian markets, Moldpres news agency reports.<\/p>\n

According to the Ministry of Economics, Hyundai Heavy Industries might also invest in the construction of the highways and improve the railway system from Moldova by electrifying the railways and bringing medium-speed locomotives.<\/p>\n

"So far, Korea has been exporting vehicles, chemical and steel production to Moldova. Now, we want to extend the range of exported Korean goods and enter the market with electric transformers and high-tension equipment, solar panels, eolian turbines, etc.," the director of the Hyundai Corporation in Russia and CIS Kin Wu Park said.<\/p>\n

"We want a strategic partnership with the Hyundai Corporation and to turn to account its potential, in order to increase our exports to non-traditional markets for Moldova, such as the ones of Korea, China and Japan. Nevertheless, we have greater interest in the attraction of investments in industrial productions in Moldova," Valeriu Lazar, the Minister of Economics said.<\/p>\n
