\nThe tariffs on utilities in Transnistria will go up 10-15% this year in conformity with the decree of president of the unrecognized Moldovan Transnistrian republic (PMR) Igor Smirnov, who signed it in August 2010.<\/p>\n

As Infotag has already reported, the document provides that electricity rate will go up to 0.42 (US$0.04) from 0.37 rubles per 1 kW\/hour for the population or up 13.5%. One cubic meter of gas will rise in price to 0.82 (US$0.08) from 0.74 rubles, which is up 10.8%.<\/p>\n

The tariff of centralized heating supply will go up to 2.66 rubles per 1 square meter of housing in Tiraspol, to 2.8 rubles in Bender, to 3 rubles in Ribnita and Dubossary, and to 3.26 rubles in Kamenka.<\/p>\n

The cost of water supply and sewerage system services will go up about 12%.<\/p>\n

The regional tariffs were increased in the beginning of 2010 for the last time, went they went up about 15-20%.<\/p>\n

In spite of the another increase, the tariff on electricity in Transnistria is 2 times lower than the actual tariff in the Dniester right riverbank, and on gas is 4 times lower.<\/p>\n

As Infotag has already reported, tariffs on gas in the region are lower than its purchase price, but even the money raised from consumers are not provided by the Transnistrian leadership to the Gazprom Russian company, but are aimed at the budget deficit defrayment.
