\nThe Chisinau Primaria [city government] has announced a tender on selecting a contractor for repairing existent storm sewage system chains and building new drainage chains.<\/p>\n

During the operational meeting in the Primaria on Monday, manager of the drainage system project Tatiana Buianaia said that applications can be submitted till January 13.<\/p>\n

"Thought, according to the project, the construction works must start in August, we aspire to beforehand establish the economic agent that will have to clean old, as well as to design and to build new drains at Tabacaria Veche and Haltei streets, as well as near the railway station, so the works could be finished till the end of 2011 in conformity with the project conditions", Buianaia said.<\/p>\n

According to her, expenses on drainage system cleaning, projecting and building will be borne by the European Union, which finances the project assigning over 700 thousand euros for the purpose.<\/p>\n

"The main project purpose is to reduce the pouring rain and flood consequences by improving sewer systems and removing it to natural pools, so streets would not transform into impassible rivers after rains and snow melting", the project manager said.<\/p>\n

She said she does not exclude the possibility that the EU will provide additional means for building additional branches in existent drainage system for removing water from roads of Decebal, Negruti, Gagarin and Fintinilor streets.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
