Investment week, Moldovan Business Week 2010 will take place under the motto "The World Crisis – challenges and opportunities for Moldova economy", on June 22-25 in Chisinau. More than 450 people confirmed their participation. The event is organized by the government, Moldova Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO) in cooperation with the Vienna Economic Forum for attracting investors.<\/p>\n

According to the organizing committee, the organizers intend to present investment advantages in energetic, agricultural, IT, infrastructure, transport and healthcare sectors.<\/p>\n

Bilateral forums with the participation of entrepreneurs’ delegations from Romania, Russia, Italy, Turkey, Czech Republic, Poland as well as thematic roundtables "Moldova’s government new tools for attracting investment", "Modern, international technologies in Moldova", "Innovation recipe – new formula of regional partnership", "Investment opportunities in diverse branches of national economy", "Financial sector development" will take place within the investment week.<\/p>\n

On June 24-25, within Moldovan Business Week 2010, the Vienna Economical Forum will take place. Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Moldova, Slovenia, Turkey, Croatia and Montenegro will participate at the forum.<\/p>\n

Infotag’s dossier: in the first quarter, direct investments in the authorized capital of Moldovan enterprises constituted 88.4 million lei (US$ 70 million), which is 23.4% less than in the same period of last year, even though the rhythm of investment reduction have declined. The main source of investments continues to be the resources of the local economic agents and population (63.5%), while the share of foreign investments equals 23.5%.
