Flights on the route Chisinau-Munich were launched for the first time ever. Daily operations to the Munich-based Lufthansa hub, with an aircraft, CRJ-900, equipped with business and economy saloons, offers modern facilities and direct connections to over 115 destinations of the global network of Lufthansa routes, the head of the marketing department at the Chisinau International Airport, Galina Telpiz, has said.<\/p>\n

She also said that, starting from 1 July 2010, a more spacious airship, Airbus A319 – will make flights on the same root.<\/p>\n

The acting charge d’affairs of Germany in Moldova, Julia Kahrl, and the director-general of Lufthansa Romania, Stefan Versemann, greeted the passengers of the route to officially mark the launch of flights bound for Munich.<\/p>\n

"We are very delighted by the inauguration of direct daily flights Chisinau-Munich. The new air route will make the connection between Moldova’s capital and Munich, and from this city, – to the Lufthansa extended network of routes. We received an extraordinary support on behalf of local authorities, and we hope for a good cooperation in the long run," Stefan Versemann said.<\/p>\n

The aircraft of the trip LH 3257 will take off in Chisinau at 13:00, and will land in Munich at 14:35. Respectively, the trip LH 3256 is scheduled to take off in Munich at 9:00 and to land in Chisinau at 12:00.
