The Government has cancelled the customs guarantee duty, which Moldovan citizens had to pay, when they came back to Moldova in their personal cars, whose service life exceeded seven years and which were registered abroad.<\/p>\n

The decision on amending Article 10 of the Law on the importation and exportation of property from Moldova’s territory by physical persons was worked out by the Ministry of Finance together with the Ministry of Information Technologies and Telecommunications and it was approved at a Government sitting on Monday.<\/p>\n

"The objective of this amendment is to establish equal rights for all the Moldovan citizens, irrespective of the place, where they live. From the moment they enter the territory of the country each citizen has the right to travel in his or her car with foreign registration plates on the territory of Moldova during two months. When this term is expired, he or she must leave the country", Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta said at the end of the sitting.<\/p>\n

In his words, until the present, Moldovan citizens, who returned to their motherland in automobiles registered abroad, had to pay a customs guarantee duty in the amount depending on the piston power.<\/p>\n

"When people depart from the country, they received their money back, but very often they lost a part of this sum, because of the difference in the exchange rates. We consider that this project will bring more pleasure to Moldovan citizens from their homecoming, let it be even temporary", the minister remarked.<\/p>\n

The project will come in force immediately after its approval in the Parliament and its promulgation by the President.<\/p>\n

"We hope that it will happen in the near time, so that our citizens, who will come for the Easter holidays, will enjoy this amendment", Negruta said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
