Experts dispute the Government’s figures of a 4% GDP growth, unveiled by Prime Minister Vlad Filat.<\/p>\n

As Infotag reports with reference to \u0410llmoldova Internet periodical, Political analyst Bogdan Tirdea considers that such figures are very doubtful.<\/p>\n

"The Government has not worked out the anti-crisis plan of the economic growth for the time being and pull together all its efforts to replenish the budget. There no investment credits – neither Russian, nor Chinese ones", the analyst remarked.<\/p>\n

"The Memorandum between the Moldovan Government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is not in our favor and envisages the increase of tariffs, excises and the VAT, which influence the prices very much. It will engender a chain reaction, which will reduce the population’s purchasing capacity", Tirdea said.<\/p>\n

In his opinion, another factor, which curbs the GDP growth, is the limitation of the rights of the commercial banks on granting credits to economic entities, "if we achieve a 1% economic growth by the end of the year, it will be success".<\/p>\n

In Economic Analyst Vissarion Cesuev’s words, the forecast at a 4% GDP growth reflects rather Prime Minister Vlad Filat’s wish.<\/p>\n
