According to a National Bureau of Statistics report for the 1st quarter of 2008, majority of economic indicators in Moldova are on decline. <\/p>\n

The industrial output has decreased by 24 percent, exports and imports for the same period declined by more than 18 percent and 25 percent respectively, and therefore related taxes and fees collected to the state budget have dropped as well, reducing much the incomes and endangering many national projects. <\/p>\n

In addition, almost all types of transports experienced declines of more than 50 percent. <\/p>\n

The retailing and service sectors face decreasing transactions and operations compared with three months or half a year ago. <\/p>\n

Capital investments have decreased by more than 40 percent, this being an unprecedented situation compared with last years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
