The Ministry of Constructions and Territorial Development (MCTD) announces about the start of the repair works on the Chisinau-Hincesti road segment.<\/p>\n

The road rehabilitation is carried out by the Finnish company “Lemminkainen Infra Oy”, based on the contract signed with the State Road Administration on 19 January 2009.<\/p>\n

The total length of the road sector subject to repair is of 22.1 km. The rehabilitation of this sector will be carried out in two stages. Firstly, the rehabilitation of the first 14 km will take place, and then it is planned to rehabilitate the rest of 8 km of the road with financing on the account of the second trench of the loan offered by the European Investment Bank. The cost of works under the first stage is of 13.4 mln euro.<\/p>\n

According to the cited source, the capital repair of the roads will include the rehabilitation works of the road coat, engineer structures and works for the consolidation of the embankment on the damaged sectors. Also, the road parameters will be improved by adding an additional band on the road segment spreading on 9 km.<\/p>\n
