Consumer prices in October this year increased by 0.8% from September. The prices of food products rose by 1.5%, of non-food products by 0.4%, of services by 0.5%. <\/p>\n

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, tomatoes grew dearer by 30.2%, eggplants by 7.2%, sweet peppers by 6.4%, eggs by 12.5%, sausages by 3%. <\/p>\n

Among non-food products, the prices of clothes for winter rose 1.6%, of footwear for winter by 2.7%, of coal and detergents by 1.1% each. Water supply and sewerage services got dearer by 7.1%, of hotel and sanatorium services by 5.7%, of public alimentation services by 1.5%. \"\"<\/p>\n

At the same time, the prices of wheat flour, pasta, sugar, sunflower oil, fresh fruit, grapes, cabbage and onion went down. The bottled natural gas, fuel, TV sets and telephones also got cheaper. <\/p>\n

The January-October inflation was 7.5%. At the Government’s meeting on October 5, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon said that the inflation rate this year will not exceed 10% and that new price reductions are expected until this yearend. <\/p>\n
