A number of 16,900 persons have been employed in Moldova over January-September 2008. This is 71.6% of the projections contained in the plan of action for promoting state labor policies for 2008. <\/p>\n

The National Employment Agency over nine months recorded 54,600 unemployed persons, down 4,900 compared with the corresponding period last year.

\nAccording to the Ministry of Economy and Trade, there were held 53 job fairs for young people, 241 seminars for persons out of work, 268 training courses for 3,296 people without a job. Out of these, 494 persons were employed and 960 took professional training courses. <\/p>\n

The project to employ graduates under triple contract – the National Employment Agency\/ the economic entity\/the education institution – is being implemented. Nine local agencies in Cahul, Anenii-Noi, Causeni, Briceni, Criuleni, Soroca, Glodeni, Falesti and Chisinau have signed 11 triple contracts with 12 economic entities. <\/p>\n

In order to make communication between the unemployed and the employers more efficient, the government earlier this year launched the website www.jobmarket.gov.md. <\/p>\n

Most of the jobs are provided in industry, retail and wholesale trade, construction, transport and communications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
