The former MOLDCELL Sales Manager, Mr. Chiril Gaburici, will as of November 1, 2008 assume the assignment as MOLDCELL General Manager. <\/p>\n

Chiril Gaburici will replace Mr. Yusuf Baykan who at his own request will resign to pursue other interests and enjoy further career advancement. <\/p>\n

The change of MOLDCELL management was publicly announced on October 24 by the Chief Operations Officer of TeliaSonera Eurasia, Mr. Halim Ates (MOLDCELL General Manager during 2004-2006), who paid an official visit to Moldova. <\/p>\n

„Working together within the group during almost ten years, we would like to thank Yusuf Baykan for his excellent job and performances achieved in all his assignments as CFO in different countries, as well as GM of MOLDCELL. His knowledge of regions and strong leadership skills contributed a lot to our group realizations and we wish him a lot of success in his further career growth”, Halim Ates mentioned in his word of gratitude. <\/p>\n

Chiril Gaburici is about to turn 32 years old, specializing in economy, with a vast experience in sales, who has been working in MOLDCELL since 2001, being one of the winners in „Top Talents” contest organized by TeliaSonera telecommunication group, selected out of 2000 participants from all over the world. Having been assigned to the position of MOLDCELL Sales Division head in May 2004, Mr. Gaburici manages regional and corporate sales, coordinates the development of the operator’s distribution network, currently numbering over 1800 points of sale, including 14 MOLDCELL Centers offering complex customer care. <\/p>\n

While presenting the new MOLDCELL leader, Halim Ates mentioned the following: „Chiril Gaburici has played a very important role in company development for more than 7 years. We believe that his knowledge of the company and country, strong leadership skills, team builder profile with a strong commercial focus will ensure further successful development of MOLDCELL on the Moldovan market and within the group.” <\/p>\n

Assuming the new engagement, Chiril Gaburici has expressed his commitment to follow the development course announced by the company, turning into reality the policies of good governance and corporate social responsibility, permanently offering to its clients high-quality mobile communication, intelligent services at accessible prices, and investing in the infrastructure and future of Moldova. <\/p>\n

„MOLDCELL will maintain its technological leadership on the Moldovan market, having already implemented for the first time in Moldova 12 innovational technologies, the most recent of which being 3.5G technology”, Chiril Gaburici mentioned in particular. <\/p>\n

In his closing notes, Halim Ates mentioned that „the shareholders’ decision to assign a local specialist to the position of General Manager denotes the appreciation of the performances realized by the Moldovan team on the one hand, and the high level of shareholders’ confidence in the company’s stable long-term development on the other hand. Chiril Gaburici is one of the best young specialists of TeliaSonera Eurasia business area, possessing the knowledge, experience and skills necessary for leading MOLDCELL to new successes and realizations.” <\/p>\n

\nSince the launch of its operation, MOLDCELL has invested $120 million in the country’s infrastructure and is planning to invest at least $100 million more during the 5 years to come. According to the data registered on October 1, 2008, MOLDCELL network is available to approximately 96% of the population and 96% of Moldova’s territory. <\/p>\n
