The producers recommended a selling price of 8.25 lei for a bottle of 0.5 liters and of 14.50 lei and 24.50 lei for a PET bottle of 1 liter and, respectively, 2 liters. Until this yearend, the company plans to sell 3.5 million liters of beer. <\/p>\n<p>About 20% of the National beer will be sold in bottles of 0.5 liters, while 80% in PET bottles of 1 liter and 2 liters. The company decided not to modify the pricing strategy even if import taxes are soon introduced on PET bottles. <\/p>\n<p>The beer will be produced in one of the most modern Carlsberg breweries in Ukraine and will be imported only into Moldova, by a subsidiary of the company that will start work in October. Until then, the National beer will be imported by representatives of the company in Moldova. <\/p>\n<p>As the Moldovans prefer blond beer, whose sales make up 90% of the total sales, National will be only blond initially. Brown and strong beer could appear afterward. It is considered that the Moldovans are wine drinkers, but the studies carried out by Carlsberg show that about 66% of the Moldovans are heavy beer drinkers. <\/p>\n<p>Presently, Carlsberg Group&rsquo;s turnover in Moldova makes up 30% of all the beer sales, while the sales of the trademarks of Carlsberg Ukraine &ndash; Slavutich, Holsten, Arsenal, Baltica and others &#8211; 15%.
