Investment in fixed capital in Moldova over January-June 2008 totaled 5.516,5 billion lei (US$568.7 million), an increase of 12.3% year on year. <\/p>\n

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the construction-assembly works came to 3. 061,7 billion lei (US$315.6 million), up 5.1% compared with the corresponding period last year. As many as 235,800 square meters of dwelling were put in commission in the given period, down 2.6%. <\/p>\n
