The Administration Board of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has fixed the charge for connecting the consumers to the gas pipeline at 2,970 lei. <\/p>\n

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the charge was set in accordance with the June 16 Government Decision regarding the measures aimed at accelerating the gasification of settlements. <\/p>\n

ANRE Director General Vitalie Iurcu said that the charge includes the estimated costs of building the natural gas pipes inside the settlements, the costs of the meters and of installing them as well as a profitability rate of the service of 5%. The costs were assessed by the Design Institute “Gazproiect” SA. <\/p>\n

Iurcu stated that the common charge for gasification services will contribute to the creation of a balanced and non-discriminatory framework enabling the end-users to have access to gas distribution networks inside the settlements. <\/p>\n

“Until present, the contractors took 7,000 to 15,000 lei for connecting the consumers to the gas pipeline, but now the end-users will pay a common tariff of 2,970 lei,” Vitalie Iurcu said. <\/p>\n
