The Marculesti Airport received the status of Free International Airport. The Parliament Thursday adopted the Law on the Free International Airport Marculesti. <\/p>\n

The document aims to optimize the use of the airport’s infrastructure, attract foreign investment, manufacture industrial products for export and integrate the national economy into the European and world economic space. <\/p>\n

Under the law, the airport’s resident companies could provide airport services and transport goods by aid freight, sell products wholesale, manufacture industrial products for export, process agricultural products, pack and mark goods etc. They will benefit from a facilitated working regime, similar to the one fixed for free economic zones. <\/p>\n

But the residents would not be allowed to sell in Moldova more than 30% of the volume of products manufactured and of the services provided by them as well as alcoholic and tobacco products. <\/p>\n

An international logistics center will be created on the territory of the Free International Airport Marculesti. The center will implement modern technologies in production and management. <\/p>\n
