Oriflame has sold about 9 million cosmetic products and more than 32.44 million liters of shampoo during five years of activity in Moldova. <\/p>\n

At a news conference dedicated to the company’s fifth anniversary on May 30, Eduard Musteata, the director general of Oriflame Moldova, said that the sales of cosmetic products in 2007 rose by 22% on 2006. <\/p>\n

According to Musteata, the sales of decorative cosmetic products (mascaras, lipsticks) and of cosmetic products for men have also increased. Most of all, the Moldovan consumers prefer the company’s mascaras as well as its perfumes. Consumer preferences in Moldova do not differ much from those in other countries. <\/p>\n

Oriflame now has about 12,000 permanent clients. In 2007, the company paid approximately 10 million lei to the consultants. A consultant earns minimum 500 lei a month. Currently, the company’s sales in urban areas make up 46%, while in rural areas – 54%. <\/p>\n

The Swedish company Oriflame was founded in 1967 by the brothers Jonas and Robert Jochnick. It sells over 1,000 types of cosmetic products. Presently, the company has representative offices in 60 countries and over 2.2 million consultants, half of whom in the CIS states.
