Moldovan citizens, who are older than 53 years, who had deposits in the Soviet Savings Bank, can receive their indexed deposits in B\u0430nc\u0430 de Economii. <\/p>\n

As Infotag has already reported, at the first stage depositors will receive 1000 lei for 1000 ruble in the ratio of 1 leu for one ruble. The remaining sums will be indexed in the ratio of 1 leu for 2.5 rubles after all the depositors, who had accounts in the Savings Bank before 1992, will receive the first indexed thousand rubles. <\/p>\n

Those, who submitted their applications before March 1, will be able to receive their deposits. Those, who did not manage to submit their applications before this time, can submit them before May 1. The budget’2008 envisages 85 million lei for paying out indexed deposits. <\/p>\n

The sum, necessary for indexing all the population’s ruble deposits in Bianca de Economii, exceeds 1.7 billion (USD136.3 million). As for the beginning of 1992 the bank has 1.98 million deposit accounts, where 4.13 million rubles were kept. For 2003-2006 the bank’s depositors, who were born before 1940 and submitted their indexation applications before November 1, 2006, received 193.8 million lei. <\/p>\n

The compensation payments on Soviet-time deposits are also made in Transnistria. The Transnistrian authorities also pay out the first thousand in the ratio of 1:1. In 2007 about 3 thousand people, including participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War, were able to get back their deposits. <\/p>\n

This year the Transnistrian budget allocates 6.65 million rubles ($786 thousand) for this purpose. Only those, who worked in the rear during the war, who were prisoners of the fascist concentration camps and those, who worked in Leningrad during the blockade, can receive their indexed deposits. <\/p>\n

In Transnistria there are about 300 thousand depositors of the USSR Savings Bank, who lost their deposits, worth 2.5 billion Soviet rubles by 1992. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
