The Ministry of Finance was forced to allocate 5 mln lei from the Government’s Reserve Fund for the increase of the stock capital of state enterprise “Ungheni river port” that is to use the money for the construction of the Giurgiulesti Passenger Port. <\/p>\n

The Cabinet of Ministers decided during its meeting on Wednesday, January 30, to allocate the money via the Ministry of Transport and Road Management, which will act as the main coordinator of the construction works for the Giurgiulesti Passenger Port. <\/p>\n

The Construction Plan for the Giurgiulesti Passenger Port, adopted at the same meeting of the Government, also shows that in April 2008 “Ungheni River Port” will call a tender for the selection of the work executor so that by June 1, 2008 the object is already operated. <\/p>\n

In December 2004, Chisinau Government signed with Azpetrol Group an investment agreement for 250 mln USD that provided for finalizing the construction works for the Giurgiulesti oil terminal, construction of a passenger port, a refinery and a net of 50 gas filling stations. <\/p>\n

At the end of June 2006, the Dutch company EasEur Holding BV announced that it purchased Azpetrol SRL, Azertrans SRL and Azpetrol Refinery SRL and stated that it is determined to continue the investment programmes of these companies. The owner changed the names of the three subsidiary entities in Moldova that construct the port complex in Giurgiulesti, so that Azpetrol SRL is called now Bemol Retail SRL, Azertrans SRL is Danube Logistics SRL, and Azpetrol Refinery is Bemol Refinery SRL.  \/\/ BASA-Press<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
