As of 1 January 2008 it is prohibited in Moldova to trade with food products and retail selling in kiosks and other rooms that spread on less than 12 square meters based on a patent. <\/p>\n

This prohibition is provided for in the Law on basic principles of regulation of entrepreneurial activity called Guillotine II which is aimed at creating more favorable conditions of activity for entrepreneurs. <\/p>\n

The law implies gradual exclusion by the end of 2009 the retail commerce based on patent excepting the products manufactured by the patentees themselves. <\/p>\n

The following type of activity to be prohibited as of 1 January 2009 will be the patent based commerce with all types of products in counters and cars in authorized markets. Also, it will be prohibited to trade with bottled water in authorized places. <\/p>\n

Earlier, as of August 2006 it was prohibited to retail trade based on patent with goods subject to excises, to sell electronic and electric household supplies with a preset term of validity. <\/p>\n

Likewise, as of 1 January 2007 it was prohibited to perform based on patent goods and up to 7 passenger transport services, cultivate and sell flowers, sell construction materials, furniture, and household goods. <\/p>\n

According to authorities, these amendments are the result of the private-public dialogue and are aimed at contributing to addressing the system issues for a range of sensitive fields signaled by the business environment for several years now. <\/p>\n

The law proposes a simplified and free registration procedure as individual entrepreneurs to natural persons who stopped activating based on patents. <\/p>\n
