About 200 families of the servicemen, who are on the housing waiting list, will receive apartments in the near time. It was made possible after the Government transferred 127 million lei ($10.5 million) on Friday to the Ministry of Defense for the implementation of the Program for the Social Protection of servicemen and their families, in particular, for purchasing apartments. <\/p>\n

As Infotag has already reported, these financial resources were earned from the sale of two land plots, belonging to the Ministry of Defense in Chisinau and which total area covers 8 hectares. The City Development Joint Venture, set up with partnership of the Locuinţe pentru Toţi housing investment company and the American investment fund, which offered for the land plots by 25 million lei more than the starting price, bought the land plots. <\/p>\n

The winner promised to build two unique housing centers with all the necessary infrastructure, including sport grounds, shops, parking, squares and kindergartens. <\/p>\n

The construction will begin in 2007 and will be completed in 2010. The City Development’s investments into the construction of these centers will constitute not less than $100 million. <\/p>\n
