Moldova’s government has set up three special working groups to monitor the situation in the country and control food prices amid drought. According Moldova’s cabinet, the working groups were set up at the request of President Vladimir Voronin. <\/p>\n

The first working group led by Agriculture Minister Anatoly Gorodenko will control agricultural activities, preparations for autumn sowing and the creation of a seed fund. The second group guided by Deputy Economy and Trade Minister Viorel Melnik will monitor wheat prices and control retail sales of baked goods.
