Moldcargo has topped the reliability rating of the insurance companies for 2006. This rating is conducted yearly by the "Banks and Finance-Profit" magazine. <\/p>\n

The essay to be published in the April issue of the magazine points out that the growth in the amount of the collected premiums by the insurance companies is owing rather to the increased prices for services than to the intensification of the insurance activities and the market expansion. All in all, the premium amount increased by 35% up to 559.6 million lei without taking into consideration the inflation, whereas the payments constituted 191.31 million lei (+57,7%). <\/p>\n

In 2006 the leader in the amount of the collected premiums was also changed. The Moldasig company became this leader, it collected by 138.95 million lei or by 51.47% more than a year ago. QBE Asito collected by 121.22 million more (+35.5%). They are followed by Donaris-Group, Moldcargo and Carat. <\/p>\n

In the rating, where more than 20 activity indicators were assessed, the Sigur-Asigur and Moldasig companies took the second and the third places. <\/p>\n

Artas and Grawe Asigurare De Viata top the list of the second group of companies with their assets from 10-to 25 million lei. Adara-S and Notabil-Polis conclude this list. <\/p>\n

The magazine excluded from the rating the following companies: Donaris Asigurare de Viata (it was merged with Grawe Asigurare De Viata), Mobias, (it is engaged in the suit against the Licensing Chaimber, as it deprived the company of the right for insurance activities), Delta (it submitted its annual report with delay). The companies, which aggregate assets are less than 4 million lei, were not assessed. These were Servasig (the assets accounts for 3.73 million lei), Ascargo (3.2 million), Garant (2.52 million), Dasc-Plus (2.19 million). In the magazine’s opinion, such capitalization of the insurance activities is not sufficient today.
