The Russian government has determined the “C” Limited Stock Corporation, which possess the control block of stocks of the SC “Azov Sea Port”, as the investor for the construction of the oil terminal and the freight-and-passenger port in Giurgiulesti. As INTERLIC News agency reports, the name of the investor is given in an official letter, received by the RM Minister of Transport and Communication, which supervises this object. <\/p>\n

It should be noted that the two countries reached agreement to determine the strategic investor for the construction of the oil terminal and the freight-and-passenger port in Giurgiulesti in the course of the seventh sitting of the Inter-governmental Moldovan-Russian Commission for Trade-Economic and Scientific-technical Cooperation. <\/p>\n

This agreement was fixed in one of the items of the sitting Protocol, signed on June 27 in the RM capital by the Co-chairmen of the Commission – RM First Vice-Premier Vasile Iovv and RF Vice-Premier and Minister of Agriculture Alexei Gordeev. The sides also agreed to prepare the draft of the Inter-governmental Agreement on the construction of an Oil Terminal and the Freight-and-passenger Port in Giurgiulesti with the participation of a Russian company. <\/p>\n

According to Vasile Iovv, the RM Minister of Transport and Communications will be able to conclude an Agreement on the Transfer of the Terminal, which construction is accomplished 50%, for the Concession Management of the Investor, which will undertake the obligation to return $15 million to the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.
