Moldova.ORG — $153.9 million are going to be spent in 2007 on the reconstruction of the Moldovan roads, President Vladimir Voronin stated last week while presenting Vasile Ursu to the contributors of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management. <\/p>\n

The head of the state stressed the fact that one of the goals of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management is to finish the Northern Station project and to solve the problem to transport passengers. <\/p>\n

Earlier, Prime Minister, Vasile Tarlev stated that the Government is ready to invest $76.9 thousand to fix the roads. The money will come from different sources, including the foreign assistance given to the Republic of Moldova. Recently, the World Bank decided \"\"to give $800 to Moldova for the creation of a program to reconstruct the roads. <\/p>\n

MOLDOVA.ORG informs: In 2006, the Moldovan Government invested $12.3 million for the reconstruction of roads. The total length of Moldovan roads is estimated to 9.5 thousand km, 3.3 of which are national roads and 6.1- local roads.
