The Government has charged the Land Relations Agency and the Cadastre with working out the plan of measures, aimed at eliminating drawbacks in its activities. <\/p>\n

Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev remarked on Wednesday at a governmental sitting that the agency did not worked out an efficient system of control over the use of land plots, including agricultural ones irrespective of property form. He quoted many cases, when the construction begins on land plots without excluding them from agricultural use; the exchange of land plots is made without observing envisaged legal procedures. <\/p>\n

The Prime Minister said that the agency used 70% of the financial resources allocated for the real estate evaluation. There are many questions in the connection with the respective cadastre enterprises’ low energy in rendering services to the population. <\/p>\n

Agency Director General Alexandr Bannicov remarked that the evaluation of 4.2 million property units was carried out in 2005-2006. The tax cadastre is being intensively made up. The evaluation of the marketing cost of apartments in the blocks of apartments (325 thousand apartments) and individual houses (165.3 thousand) in towns and cities is completed. <\/p>\n

The volume of the fulfilled works on the use of new land plots and soil fertility improvement increased by 51% in 2006, compared with 2005. <\/p>\n

The Government also approved the Bill on the delimitation of public land plots. It envisages to carry out the delimitation of state’s and local authorities’ lands within six months.
