On October 28, Belarus and Moldova are to hold a presentation of a new experimental model of tractor which they have assembled together, first secretary of trade and economic issues of the Belarusian embassy in Moldova Olga Gavruk told BelTA. <\/p>\n

The new tractor is meant to work in gardens and vineyards. It has been designed and produced Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) in collaboration with experts from Moldavian-Japanese project 2KR (which aim was to increase the production of food stuffs) on the basis of the MTZ-82.2 tractor. <\/p>\n

The presentation is due to take place in Kishinev at the exhibition “Moldagritekh-2006” which has opened today. Attending the presentation will be ambassador of Belarus to Moldova Vasiliy Sakovich, a MTZ delegation headed by first deputy marketing director Valentin Chekunov and representatives of the Moldavian government and of the 2KR project. <\/p>\n

The new tractor has been tested in the fields of Moldova and proved efficient. Some 15 tractors have already been sold. Since 2001 Moldova has purchased nearly 1,5 thousand tractors from Belarus in the framework of the 2KR project. The specialists of the 2KR project have voiced their willingness to organize an assembly-production of new Belarusian-Moldavian tractors adapted to the conditions of Moldova.
