The World Bank will release the 10-million-dollar budgetary sustenance credit to Moldova immediately after all formalities linked to this loan are fulfilled, in January 2007 in all likelihood, Edward Brown, director of the World Bank Office in Moldova, told a news conference on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

"We completed the negotiations with government last week. We are due to present the package of documents to the Board of Directors for examination," Brown added. <\/p>\n

The parliament will ratify the credit agreement after the World Bank Board of Directors approves the loan. According to sources, the World Bank could examine the credit agreement on October 19. <\/p>\n

It is for the first time in the past five years when Chisinau seeks foreign financing to sustain the budget. The state budget was achieved with a surplus or expenses and incomes were equal in 2001-2005, except for 2002. <\/p>\n
