The state opened Tuesday a contest to sell a block from the Holercani pension, which was known as one of the main tourism attractions in Moldova in the Soviet times where party and state elite was resting. <\/p>\n

It is a 9-store building of the block # 3 of the state-owned enterprise Holercani Pension built in 1979-1982, which also includes an eating house with 250 seats and a club. "The building does not work at present because it was deteriorated during the Dniester conflict," Dorina Cibotarean, directorate chief in the Privatisation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, stated to BASA. <\/p>\n

\"\"The building resisted to the 1986 and 1990 earthquakes and it was not seriously deteriorated, but it needs capital repairs. It was under direct bombardments during the 1992 military conflict and it was essentially destroyed. The building was not restored and exploited for approximately 13 years while the intention to find an investor was not implemented. <\/p>\n

In this context, the Privatisation Agency [telephone: 221-457, 223-156] will accept applications for participation in the commercial contest for privatisation of the block till September 25. Individuals and private businesses from Moldova and other countries, stateless persons are welcome to attend the contest. <\/p>\n

Eventual bidders must present a copy of financial reports for the precedent year, a certificate on eventual debts for taxes, the investment development programme of the enterprise and a bank guarantee for the price in order to qualify for the contest. The contestant must submit a 200,000-leu participation guarantee. <\/p>\n

A commission will organise the pre-selection, while the selected competitors will be able to improve the price offers at an open sitting of the commission.
