The owner of the four-star hotel Dedeman Grand Chisinau, the Leogrant SRL company, has announced that the hotel will turn into Leogrand Hotel&Convention Center on July 1 in connection with the change of management. Dedeman Hotels&Resorts International company has managed the hotel until now. <\/p>\n

The new manager-general of the hotel, Ozkan Alkan, has told a news conference that the willingness to bring a new hotel brand in Moldova is the cause of "this change". "The investment climate in Moldova is favourable for our business and that is why we have decided to extend our business," Alkan said. <\/p>\n

He noted that the launch of the hotel brand Leogrand is part of a hotel business development strategy of Leogrant SRL, which calls for the creation of a network of hotels in East Europe. At present, Leogrant SRL is implementing projects in Romania, Ukraine, Russia, the United States and the Netherlands. "Our goal is to develop the Leogrand brand, so that to become the first Moldovan brand abroad, while our strategy consists of maximisation of services, not of prices," the manager general added. <\/p>\n

The new structure will be made up of Leogrand hotel and a new Convention Center. The hotel is regarded as one of the best international business category hotels in Chisinau, which has 143 modern and comfortable rooms, including a presidential apartment, two luxury rooms, six semi-luxury rooms, 10 corner rooms, 8 apartments and two studios. <\/p>\n

The Leogrand Convention Center located in the place the former entertainment centre New York Bowling Center will open in September. The centre is built accordingly to the highest European standards; it contains space of meeting of over 1,000 cubic metres and will be endowed with modern equipment for conference halls. <\/p>\n

The hotel was built in 2002 by Leogrant SRL, a daughter firm of the Turkish Summa Group of Companies.
