\"\"The foreign funds Stichting Triodos-Doen and Credit Suisse have signed credit contracts worth 700,000 euros with the microfinancing organisation Microinvest SRL for financing of small- and medium-sized businesses in Moldova. <\/p>\n

Stichting Triodos-Doen, a development fund of Triodos-Bank from the Netherlands, has signed a 500,000-euro loan contract with Microinvest. The credit was offered for two years and will be used to serve more clients, small and medium enterprises in cities and villages of Moldova. The first part of the loan was transferred on June 2. <\/p>\n

Also, Microinvest has signed a cooperation agreement with Credit Suisse Fund Management. The contract was signed with the help of specialised microfinancing services of Symbiotics SA from Switzerland. Microinvest will receive a 200,000-euro credit to finance and develop the small business. <\/p>\n

Artur Munteanu, executive director of Microinvest, said that the partnership relations will not reduce to terms and value of these contracts, which are "only the first steps forward a long-term successful cooperation in developing small- and medium-sized businesses in Moldova." <\/p>\n

Microinvest will use the financing to release loans like SIMPLUS – a pledge-free loan of up to 25,000 lei; START – a business building credit of maximum 150,000 lei; FORTE – a business extension credit of up to 300,000 lei the first loan and up to 600,000 lei the second loan. <\/p>\n

Only applications of small- and medium-sized enterprises which develop business or want to start profitable deals will be studied. <\/p>\n

Microinvest SRL was created in 2003 by Soros Moldova Foundation and Mictofinancing Alliance Moldova, while Soros Moldova is the only founder. <\/p>\n

On December 28, 2005, Microinvest SRL became a mixed enterprise, a mictofinancing organisation Microinvest SRL (I.M. O.M.F Microinvest S.R.L) with a new partner Societe International pour le Development et l Investissement (SIDI). SIDI owns 10 percent of the social capital of Microinvest. <\/p>\n

Microinvest had 9 offices, a credit portfolio of 3,178,140 million dollars distributed to 1,395 active clients at the end of the 1st trimester of this year, compared with a credit portfolio of 183,451 dollars for 220 clients in 2003. The credit portfolio on March 31 was diversified on several sectors, of which 56 percent in agriculture, 17 percent in commerce, 15 percent in services and 10 percent in industry.
