“When the relations with the international financial organizations resume, the paradigm of public policies in the field of public finances will change so that the social budget will become investment budget,” The Economic Monitor launched on May 18 by the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) Viitorul says. <\/p>\n

According to the quoted source, the growth of investment expenditure registered in 2005 will continue in 2006, the further objective being to increase public investments up to 20% of the total public spending by attracting investment credits. <\/p>\n

Experts consider that to increase the volume of private investments the Government must invest and change its view on state’s development. Veceaslav Ionita says that the minimum annual amount of private investments necessary is 10 billion lei at the first stage. He asserts that the investments will come only when Moldova proves its pro-European position and promotes consecutively the reforms. <\/p>\n
