The Ministry of Economy and Trade has scheduled a first stage of privatisation this year for May 22 – June 9 to auction state-owned share packages in 32 companies at the Stock Exchange of Moldova. State-owned shares in companies such as QBE Asito, Consocivil, Alimentarmas, Energoconstructie, Aprovizelectro will be sold at this stage. <\/p>\n

"Five of the enterprises concerned are based in Chisinau, while another 27 are based in different regions. The complete list of companies and reference data will be published the next days," Deputy Minister of Economy Igor Dodon told a news conference on Tuesday. <\/p>\n

Dodon said that single packages will be available for sale at Dutch auctions. The state sells between 0.7 percent and 100 percent of shares in enterprises and major packages in 15 joint stock societies. <\/p>\n

In particular, 100 percent of state-owned shares in companies Energocontructie (social capital in the amount of 2 million lei) and Aprovizelectro (11 million lei) will be auctioned. Also, the state intends to sell 30 percent of shares in Alimentarmas (nominal value of a share is 10 lei, while the start price of a share will be 18 lei), 15 percent of shares in Consocivil (initial price – 24 lei a share), 4 percent of QBE Asito (nominal value is 10 lei apiece, initial price – 15 lei). <\/p>\n

"The state-owned social capital in the 32 societies accounts for 45 million lei, while the initial sale price of packages was estimated at 105.6 million lei," Dodon underlined. <\/p>\n
