At Wednesday’s meeting, the Government decided to liquidate the company “Agromecanica-Holding”. Under the adopted document, the privatization agency of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce will receive the state stocks in the enterprises that formed part of the mentioned company and will pass them on to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure. <\/p>\n

The respective ministry will monitor the production activity, the activity of attracting investments in the manufacture of tractors and agricultural machinery. Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev said that Agromecanica-Holding is an amorphous structure that during the last years has dealt with money laundering and hindered the renovation and normal development of the tractor factory “Tracom” located in Chisinau. <\/p>\n

Agromecanica-Holding was created in 1996. This structure includs 10 enterprises: “Tracom”, “Aralit”, “Reupies”, “Radiator”, “Forjacom”, “Bicotra”, “Zidarul-SV”, “Dotarcom”, “Presudor” and “Mapasauto”. The company was entrusted with the task to organize the production of agricultural machinery and to administer the car making sector, to attract investments and promote the industrial production on the world markets. <\/p>\n

According to officials of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the holding fulfilled the tasks partially.
