According to Tiraspoltransgas Director General Petr Stepanov, the reason for such a step was that Transnistria are not effecting even current payments in violation of the contractual terms. Despite of concern on the part of the local government, calls for saving gas, meanwhile the consumption norms are exceeded regularly by 50-60% of the clipped volume. <\/p>\n

The largest arrears are on the part of the heating networks. The Tiraspoltransgaz head considers that the present artificially reduced gas, power and heating tariffs continue existing, the current payments and payment of debts are impossible.
