The society, which will be created by February 1 with the equal participation of Naftogaz and RosUkrEnergo, will "distribute natural gas on the Ukrainian market," Gazprom spokesman Sergey Kupryanov said. <\/p>\n

In turn, Ukrainian Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov said that the new enterprise will also supply gas to Moldova. "The consumption balance of Moldova will be ensured," the minister noted. The society will be registered in January and will be led by a repres entative appointed by the Ukrainian side. <\/p>\n

With five days after Russia has suspended the gas supplies, Moldova receives gas from the Ukrainian balance, in line with an agreement between Presidents Voronin and Yushchenko. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a Moldovan delegation continues negotiations with Gazprom in Moscow. Official sources said that the talks with Gazprom could be "long after Moscow has reached a consensus with Kiev, so that a tense atmosphere of negotiations was avoided." <\/p>\n

Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Vladimir Antosii said that Moldova also negotiate gas supplies with operators from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. <\/p>\n
