The debts of the thermoelectrical power plant CET Nord towards the state budget totalling about 3.7 million lei will be frozen until 2013, according to the decision of the Creditors Council. <\/p>\n

The Creditors Council accepted to apply this measure, which stipulates that no penalties will be applied to frozen debts, in order to support the activity and development of the power plant. <\/p>\n

An essential argument taken into account by the members of the council is that while functioning under conditions of memorandum agreement, CET Nord settled all the current payments towards the state creditors. At the same time CET Nord that is located in Balti municipality is implementing the reorganization plan that aims at increasing the production, optimizing the spending and enhancing the activity of the enterprise. As a result, the production volume in January-October currently has increased by 14.7 percent. <\/p>\n

Measures are being taken to reduce the debtor debts that have decreased by over 30 percent in January-November 2005. <\/p>\n
