The first calves for “Tersimeda” farm were bought from Moldovan farmers by American farmers from Manitowac, Wiskonsin, on the initiative of the former volunteer of the agribusiness development project implemented in Moldova by CNFA, Norvol Dvorac. He returned to the US and collected funds in order to continue providing the respective farm with technological assistance in a move to develop it. <\/p>\n

Each calf has a separate wooden house of 2×2.5 m and 2 m in height where they will live until they are two months. Afterwards they will be transferred to the stable. Following this method, the calves will gain a weight of 500 kg during 385 days. In the house the calves have water and food permanently and are used to eat concentrates from an early age. Each calf has a personal table which contains data about the vaccines introduced, the food provided, the age and name. This system is not costly, according to a communiqué released by AGROinform. <\/p>\n

The cooperative “Tersimeda”, member of the AGROinform network, is composed of 54 farmers.
