The mandatory health insurance premium next year will remain at the level of 4 percent – 2 percent for employer and 2 percent for employee – while the price of the mandatory health insurance policy will grow by 151.2 lei up to 816 lei. <\/p>\n

These provisions are part of law on mandatory health insurance funds for 2006 that the parliament passed in the first reading on Thursday, with 48 votes of Communist lawmakers, with opposition factions refusing the voting. The draft establishes equal inc omes and spending of 1,527,700,000 lei for mandatory health insurance. <\/p>\n

The government expects 35,000 people to buy the policy. The state will insure 1,184,500 persons next year. Fines for late mandatory health insurance fees will account for 0.1 percent for every day of delay. <\/p>\n

The fund for payment of current health services accounts for 1,441,603,600 lei of the total of spending, reserve mandatory health insurance fund for 30,554.2 lei, fund of prevention measures for 30,554,200 lei, and administrative spending for 25 million lei. <\/p>\n
