\"\"The average monthly salary of a worker in the national economy (enterprises with 20 employees and more) in January-October 2005 was of 1,265.2 lei or by 19 percent more compared with the similar period last year. According to the National Statistics Bureau, the real salary rose by 6 percent. The average salary in the budgetary sphere totaled 980.8 lei, in the real sector of economy – 1,411.2 lei. <\/p>\n

The average remuneration of a salary earner in October was of 1,377.5 lei or by 21 percent more than in October 2004. The average salary in the budgetary sphere was of 1,003.5 lei, in the real sector– 1,567.9 lei. <\/p>\n

The lowest average monthly pays in the respective period were registered in agriculture and education – 623 lei and, respectively, 758 lei, and the highest average salary – 3,353 lei – in the financial sector. The same statistics say that the average monthly salary for these categories of employees in October rose by 7.3 percent for farmers, by 4.4 percent for the workers in the banking sector and by about 30 percent for the employees working in education compared to the same month 2004. <\/p>\n
