The chairman of the Public Consumer Protection Association, Pavel Gutul, told a news conference on Thursday, November 3, that he will sue the joint stock society Termocom for failure to supply heating to client s who have paid their invoices or for bad quality of services. <\/p>\n

According to Gutul, consumers sent more than 2,900 complaints this week, claiming that Termocom did not ensure residents without debts with heating. The temperature in residences connected to the heating network is below 20 degrees, and this is a violati on of norms in effect. Gutul noted that the heating provider must ensure every consumer with heating, regardless of his debts, and it violates the law on consumer this way. <\/p>\n

The association demanded Termocom to sign individual contracts with every beneficiary, so that the provider be punished in line with law if it violates the rights of consumers. <\/p>\n

Contacted by BASA-press, Termocom chief engineer Vladimir Babici said that he could not comment on what he described as "naive" statements of Gutul, because he does not know what he spoke about and what consumers he envisaged. <\/p>\n
