The negotiations between the administration of the Cuciurgan Power Station “Moldavskaia GRES”, the administration of the National Agency for Energy Regulations (ANRE) and “Union Fenosa” Company on the possible increase in tariffs for electric power continue the third day. <\/p>\n

Head of the ANRE press service Anatol Barbei told REPORTER.MD that “given the fact that the negotiations are still carried on they cannot speak of a concrete result. ANRE administration hopes the negotiations would end in the nearest time and would bring positive results”. <\/p>\n

According to unofficial data, “Union Fenosa” accepts the rise in the price of electric power it purchases on condition that ANRE increases the tariffs for the final consumers. <\/p>\n

Sources in “Union Fenosa” avoided commenting on this mentioning that they expect ANRE to make the final decision. <\/p>\n

The contract concluded by the Cuciurgan Power Plant and “Union Fenosa” Company expired on November 1. The power plant’s administration has announced earlier that starting 2006 it will raise by 36 percent the tariffs for the electric power delivered to the right bank of the Dniester.
