The World Bank Office in Moldova launched the Small Grants Program for 2006 on Tuesday. It is entitled “Social Partnership for Development”. <\/p>\n

Slavian Gutu, official in the World Bank Office in Moldova, said that the projects and activities that form part of the project will strengthen the partnership with the public sector, with other organizations of the civil society and with the private sector, influencing thus and fortifying the mechanisms of participation, responsibility and inclusion. <\/p>\n

The grants envisaged for 2006 are intended for Moldovan NGOs that work in different fields of activity. The value of the grants will range between 2,000 and 7,000 USD. The 2006 Small Grants Program will finance activities related to the reinforcement of the role and capacities of the disadvantaged social groups so that they come to know better the development processes and improve their own situation. <\/p>\n

Deadline for applications is February 1, 2006. <\/p>\n
